lyrics

Dear miss Alexandra, lady of the lake
I wish you'd lay your head to rest and your heart for goodness sake
Many years have passed and your bones have long since gone
But your treasure remains, you can hear her cry at dawn
My journey began, back in 1883
I traveled to through the lands, to the valley of the three
There was a lady, as pretty as can be
Her name was Alexandra, and the men bowed at her feet
Stories of a treasure, that lay up in the hills
Many men would search for her, and try to test their skills
I was among the chosen to retrieve what she did want
For it was not a simple task forever it did haunt
Well my days are numbered now I know
These bones are getting old
For I search the mountains far above
To try and win her love; I'll win her love
Well you may not believe, what these eyes have seen
We pulled back the rubble to see what lies between
As ten men we stand, shovels in hand
As we look down beneath, on golden ground we stand
We loaded up the riches and sent it down the tracks
Little did we know, we'd never get her back
As the train came rushing the tracks they couldn't hold
It tumbled down the valley to the deep lake below
Well my days are numbered now I know
These bones are getting old
For I search the mountains far above
To try and win her love; I'll win her love
Well my days are numbered now I know
This blood is running cold
For I search the mountains far above
To try and win her love
Well my days are numbered now I know
These bones are getting old
For I search the mountains far above
To try and win her love; I'll win her love

This Old Ghost Town Kelowna, British Columbia

March 22, 1881. Three weary travelers make camp. They had stumbled on a treasure and as they searched through it they found some line made of steel, a few old boxes, small circular discs, and a few pieces wood. "Old Man" Billy Harrison, Daryl "Two Chins" Haugan and Dan Jones began crafting instruments. It was on this night that they became This Old Ghost Town, and their legend lives on to this day ... more
